DAN RIDINGER BEGAN HIS CAREER in the computer industry before the personal computer was invented. After graduating with a B.Sc. from the University of Oregon in 1976, he cut his teeth designing applications, marketing software, training users and developing relational databases. But he soon realized that companies needed an independent, objective consultant to help them adapt to--and profit from--the profound changes in information processing that were resulting from the personal computer revolution.
In 1984, Dan started FutureChalk Software Inc. to provide such a service. It has developed software and provided services for a wide variety of platforms utilizing various programming tools. FutureChalk has proven itself to be an efficient, versatile and cost-effective alternative to an in-house staff, or depending on a manufacturer for support services.
